Ares Homecoming

My father is retired from the US Army, and when I was little he served in the Gulf War as a doctor, so soldiers’ homecomings will always have a special place in my heart. Hence this is Ares coming home from war, being welcomed by two of his chrildren. Eros and Harmonia. ~IfU

So I think the plan is that when I finally get home in the evenining I should paint. I had forgotten hoe much fun it is. The current plan is to use my midday walks to figure out the Deity and pose to paint. And then when I get home, if I have time, actually paint. In about a month my 6 day 8 to 8 week should be over and I should have more time to write. ~IfU

Prayer Follow-up

So I am in the process of giving Hestia a hot water and honey libation. For although the function did not converge overnight, today I was able to find all of the rest of the errors that needed to be fixed and get a solid convergence and the beginning of a solution.

A Quick Prayer

Oh Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth and Home

Please come into my Home

Please come into my Hearth.

My Hearth which Unites me with my Family

Which I use to connect and share with Friends.

Please, you are still needed here.

I still remember that you helped me to find my errors.

Illuminating the faults that caused failure

And Illuminating the path for their correction.

I still remember.

So please, there is another within my Hearth

It is making errors

Please help it to Learn from them.

And over this night to converge.

I have burnt incense for you.

And in the morning if it converges

I will give libations unto you.

So Hestia I ask, now that it is out of my hands.

Please let my machine learn.

Please let my code converge to the optimal path.

And please in the runs that I have

Allow the convergence to be apparent.

I’m working on being back

I admit, I was going to talk about something else to get back into the swing of updating, however I just had my day made.

I stopped by my school bookstore to pick up a VGA adapter for my computer, and while I was there I saw a classical archeology magazine and picked it up.

When I checked out, the cashier asked if I was into this kind of stuff because he loves Greek Mythology. Yeah, me too. We had a quick talk. That short moment of meeting someone with a shared passion, of seeing them smile for the same reason I do. That just melts my stress from tests and my worry over projects away.

Back from Spring Break

Minerva was watching over me. Although I am not sure how much I learned.

Dea, sis numquam sitiens!”  “Deus, sis numquam esuriens!

Goddess, may you never be thirsty! God, may you never be hungry!

This is a translation of the call that my old group used for libation and offering. If you would like to put the particular God or Goddess that you are calling into the translation, just replace Dea or Deus with the name of your God or Goddess in the vocative case.

The vocative case is mostly the same as the nominative case(i.e. the name you normally think of them by) except in the cases of a name ending in -us.

If the name ends in -us the -us gets replaced by a -e, except when the name ends with a -ius which gets replaced -i with and when the word ends with a -eus which has special rules and is why Deus does not change.

So for example Minerva -> Minerva, Neptunus -> Neptune, Brutus -> Brute, Julius -> Juli… and so on.

In addition Dea and Deus can be replaced with a God name of any gender (m,f,n) because the nominative case of sitiens and esuriens are the same when describing masculine, feminine and neuter words.
